Pi Gamma History
The Pi Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 29, 1984. As a part of the Sensational South Atlantic Region of Delta Sigma Theta and advised by the Asheville Alumnae Chapter, Pi Gamma has served the community of Western Carolina University and the surrounding areas of Cullowhee and Sylva, North Carolina for 25 years!
We currently have 9 members and the highest GPA among all NPHC organizations as well as the second highest GPA in all of Greek Life. Several of our members are involved else where on Western's campus including Project C.A.R.E, Organization of Ebony Students, Women's Basketball, Women's Track, Residential Living, The Women's Center, Psycholgoy Club, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Honor's College.
